We collect information you provide to us about yourself to serve your needs, which may include your name, birth date, city/state/zip, school name, your e-mail address, social network username, and your parent/Guardian's name and e-mail address. We may also collect information you voluntarily submit when participating in one of our various services, promotions, programs or surveys. How Does The Company Use My Information?
  • Legal Disclosures: In the event we are required to disclose customer information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, we will make such disclosure (in compliance with applicable laws). We also reserve the right to share personally identifying information with legal authorities and other parties for purposes of fraud protection, if we have reason to believe that there has been some inappropriate interference or use of the site (including copyright or trademark infringement), or if we have reason to believe that a user may have been injured or some other party harmed.
  • Change of Business Ownership: In the event the ownership of all or a part of a business within the Company were to change, user information pertinent to that business's operations may be transferred to, or licensed for use by, the new owner.
  • Non-identifying Information: We may also collect other information at certain areas of the Site that tells us about who you are, what services you prefer, what pages you visit, and what you like to do. This information will not be used to identify you individually without your permission.

However, we may include this information in your profile, which is available to other users so that those who share your interests can connect with you. We may also share some of this non-identifying information with our site sponsors, advertisers, affiliates, and linked websites, to paint a general picture of our users. This will help keep the Site interesting for our users, help target the most relevant sponsors, and help us to best tailor our services to our users' interests and needs.
What Information Does The Company Share with Others?

We will not disclose, sell or rent any of the personally identifying information you provide without telling you in advance and giving you the opportunity to tell us not to share the information.

Does Inspired 2 Impact Use Third-Party Sponsors?

Yes; you may notice third-party sponsors on our site. We may share certain non-identifying information about our users to these sponsors, so that they can best tailor their messages to make them relevant to your interests. Also, some of our services, such as nonprofit-specific boards and web pages, are offered through other companies. These companies work with us to provide the Site with up-to-date information and services. In order for these associates to provide you with information and services, we may disclose certain personally-identifying information about you, including your username, city and state, and your date of birth.

How Can I Access and Correct Information Collected?

You may change your personally-identifying information at any time by changing the information in your Inspire 2 Impact profile.

You may stop receiving communications from Inspire 2 Impact by cancelling your user registration. If you would like to maintain your registration, but opt out of receiving communications from us, please go to the Inspire 2 Impact Unsubscribe Page.

How Does Inspire 2 Impact Safeguard the Information Collected?

Your profile is password-protected, so that only you will have control over who can access your personally identifying information. We also endeavor to use secure technology where practical; however, no data collection technology or data transmission technology is 100% secure. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the security of information provided or sent to us—you are participating in Inspire 2 Impact at your own risk.

Does Inspire 2 Impact Use Cookies?

Yes; we may use cookies to enhance your experience on our site. Cookies are small files that we place on your computers' hard drive to collect information about your activities on our site. There are absolutely no personally identifiable pieces of information stored anywhere in these files, and they are used solely by us to enhance your experience and to allow us to serve you better in the future. These cookies transmit information back to Inspire 2 Impact; these computers are, generally speaking, the only computers which are authorized to read such information. The information captured makes it possible for us (i) to speed navigation and provide you with custom tailored content; (ii) to remember information you gave to us so you don't have to reenter it each time you visit our site; and (iii) to monitor the effectiveness of some of our marketing campaigns; and (iv) to monitor total number of visitors, pages viewed, and the total number of visitors served.

Links to Other Web Sites

We will occasionally provide links to third-party sites to enhance your experience. These other web sites operate independently from the Site and will have their own privacy and security policies. We strongly encourage you to review these policies at any web site you visit. The Company does not take responsibility for the collection and use of your information through third-party websites, regardless of whether we linked to the site.

What is the Company's Policy With Respect To Data Collection From Children?

We are dedicated to protecting your privacy and handling any personal information we obtain from you with care and respect. This section is designed to answer your questions regarding our privacy policies and principles with respect to children under the age of 13.

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") requires that we inform parents and legal guardians about how we collect, use, and disclose personal information from children under the age of 13; that we notify parents when we collect their children's information; and that we provide parents with an opportunity to request deletion of such information, or to request that such information not be shared with third parties.

Children can surf our site and view some content without any personally-identifying information being collected. We do not collect personally-identifying information from children unless they register on our site or participate in a promotion, survey or contest. The only personally-identifying information we collect from children during registration is the child's name, birth date, school, city/state/zip, social network username, e-mail address, and parent/guardian's name and e-mail address. We do not collect any other personally identifiable information from children during our registration process. Note that all sites that are directed to children under 13 are prohibited by law from conditioning a child's participation in an online activity on the child's providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary. We collect your child's personally-identifying information as necessary to protect the security and integrity of the site (i.e., to verify your child's age and school membership), and to contact you or your child with newsletters, site updates, promotions or other correspondence.

We may also collect non-identifying information about your child's preferences and web site usage through the use of cookies as described above. Non-identifying information may be shared with third-party advertisers and non-profit affiliates or users, to ensure that the most relevant advertisers and non-profit organizations are encouraged to participate in our site.

We send parents an e-mail when their child registers or enters a promotion, and we provide parents 48 hours to refuse their child's registration or entry in the promotion. If the parent refuses to allow the child's registration or entry, we delete the child's information from our database. If we don't hear back from the parent, we assume it is acceptable for the child to be registered, and that the child's parent approves of all contractual arrangements agreed to by the child under the Terms of Use and Code of Conduct. Once a parent permits a child to register, the child will be able to enter future registration-based promotions without any further notification to the parent. If a child wins a promotion or contest, we notify the parent at the parent's e-mail address provided to us during the registration process and request that the parent provide their postal address for purposes of delivering the prize. We may publish a winner's username and state of residence on our site.

We may share a child's personal information with third parties only to the extent reasonably necessary to protect the security or integrity of our sites (including confirming your child's age and school membership); to take precautions against liability; to respond to judicial process; or to the extent permitted under provisions of law, to provide information to law enforcement agencies or for an investigation related to public safety.

At any time parents can refuse to permit us to collect further personal information from their child and can request that any personal information we have collected be deleted from our records. A parent may contact our customer service department to access, change, or delete the personal information that we have collected from his or her child by sending an e-mail to Privacy@Inspired2Impact.org. Please include the child's member name and the parent's e-mail address in the e-mail so that we can better assist you with your inquiry or request.
