Charles (Skeets) James - Chairman

Charles James is currently the COO/CFO of Associated X-Ray Services, an independent distributor of medical imaging equipment. For six and a half years, he served as the CFO and CRO (Corporate Responsibility Officer) of TriMedx, a high-growth service company in the hospital industry. Prior to joining TriMedx, Skeets was a senior financial executive at General Motors, retiring after 33 years of service. A CPA, Skeets earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Dayton. He also attended Harvard University's Program for Management Development. He is a member of the AICPA, Indiana Venture Club, ACG, and Financial Executives International. He is Interim Board Chair of INSPIRED 2 IMPACT! and is Treasurer of the Visiting Nurse Service. Skeets was a 2008 honoree in IBJ's CFO of the Year award.

Dennis Trinkle, Ph.D - Vice Chairman

Dr. Dennis A. Trinkle is Provost and Chief Academic Officer for Harrison College. Prior to joining Harrison, he served as the Executive Director of the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System (IHETS). Trinkle has served both leading public and private colleges and universities as a faculty member and senior administrator, including the University of Cincinnati, the University of Indianapolis, DePauw University, and Valparaiso University. He has also led information technology, marketing, and venture capital enterprises in Indiana and Ohio. Trinkle has been a Fellow of the Frye Leadership Institute and International Center for Computer-Enhanced Learning at Wake Forest University. He has served on numerous corporate and non-profit Boards, including Tri-State University, College Mentors for Kids, Opelin Corporation, eLrn, Askahistorian.com, Student Advantage, and the Gale Group. The author or editor of more than sixteen books, his recent works include: The Elements of e-Style: A Multimedia Style Guide; The History Highway: A Guide to Internet Resources; Writing, Teaching, and Researching History in the Electronic Age; and History.Edu: Essays on Teaching with Technology. For his leadership and innovation, Trinkle has received numerous honors and awards, including the EDUCAUSE Award for Systemic Progress in Teaching and Learning, the TechPoint Mira Award, and recognition by the Innovators' Society of Northwestern Indiana.

Jacqueline S. Greenwood, Ph.D

Dr. Jacqueline S. Greenwood began her career in education in 1964 as a teacher in the Atlanta Public Schools System. In 1967, she relocated to Indianapolis and began an illustrious career in the Indianapolis Public Schools System. Over the past 43 years she has served in many capacities including: teacher, department head, assistant principal, and principal. In 1987, Dr. Greenwood became the first female high school principal in the history of Indianapolis Public Schools, an honor for which she gained national recognition from the U.S. Department of Education. For over twenty years, she served as Principal of Arlington High School until her recent appointment as the Director of Secondary Schools. Because of her dedicated service to the community, Dr. Greenwood has received many awards including: The Sarah Lewis Lifetime Achievement Award for Minority Volunteers; the Indianapolis Education Association's Human Rights Award for Leadership in Education; the Madame C. J. Walker Distinguished Award in Education from the Center for Leadership Development; the Breakthrough Woman Award from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and the Stew Wood Youth Advocacy Award. The Indianapolis Star also named her Woman of the Year.

Johnathan L. Mayes - Secretary

Jon joined the Office of Corporation Counsel in January 2008. Mayes earned his doctorate of jurisprudence from the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis in 2005 and graduated with honors in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business in 2002. Prior to joining the Office of Corporation Counsel, Mayes practiced civil defense litigation at Hume Smith Geddes Green & Simmons, LLP and was appointed Corporation Counsel for Kokomo, Indiana. As Chief Litigation Counsel, Mayes leads the Office of Corporation Counsel's litigation team in defending the City and County in civil litigation and prosecuting civil claims on behalf of the same.

Katherine Brooks - President

Prior to starting INSPIRED 2 IMPACT! Katherine serves INSPIRED 2 IMPACT! as Vice President of Development for Ambassadors for Children, a non-profit (Voluntourism) organization based in Indianapolis. In 2007 she helped to promote the book/film, The Ultimate Gift to schools and ministries around the country as National Director, Education and Faith Based Markets for the Ultimate Gift Experience. Prior to that, Katherine worked as a fundraising consultant in Indianapolis focusing on corporate sponsorship. She gained her experience in corporate sponsorship through her work as Director of Development for Heartland Film Festival. She also served as Director of Development for Central Indiana Youth for Christ, and later served as the Chairperson of their Board of Directors. Katherine's interest in fundraising and stewardship, in general, stemmed from her work at Renaissance, a wealth management company, where she was Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Katherine has a B.A. from Purdue University.

Kristi Kissick - Treasurer

Kristi Kissick is currently the Director of Administration at Heartland Truly Moving Pictures, a non profit organization. Kristi brings over 20 years accounting experience to the board, including six years in a non profit environment. She also has experience in human resources, office management, and information technology. Kristi received her undergraduate degree from Ball State University and her CPA certificate shortly after that.

Annie L. Smith

Annie is currently the Program Coordinator for Youth as Resources, A program of United Way of Central Indiana. She has over 25 years of valuable experience in the not-for-profit sector as well as with youth serving organizations such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, YMCA, Boys and Girls Clubs, schools, faith-based organizations, alternative education programs and the juvenile justice system. Currently, as Marion County YAR Program Coordinator, she provides education and outreach to individuals working with youth to help them involve young people in meaningful volunteer service opportunities that are youth-directed. She strives to increase young people’s confidence in their ability to make a positive difference in their communities. Annie is a certified trainer for the Marion County Commission on Youth’s Advancing Youth Development Curriculum. She has also received several awards/recognition for her work and served on the boards of the Purdue Extension Service - Marion County, the Governor’s Commission for a Drug Free Indiana and Indiana Teen Institute. Annie enjoys music, art and theater and attended Butler University where she studied voice and piano. She is married to her husband, “Smitty” and they are the proud parents of six children.
